Its Kate's Party TODAAAAAY :D
Okay so for those of you who don't know what this is about.
- First, you'll need to be more updated, this shit happened && year ago.
- Secondly, I'm just very nice. && obsessed with Kate. So I shall tell you :D
Kate Miller is this chick who lives in Adelaide, Australia. Her birthday is on 1st May. There are many stories as to what happened. Some believe that her friend created a facebook event for a surprise party for Kate. Some believe Kate herself created the event. But who made the event is not important, its what they did that is.
They forgot to make the event private. As in, anyone who managed to land up on the event page could RSVP as attending.
Now David Throne, an internet hacker who was quite popular a while ago claimed to have created this event to show how facebook privacy settings suck.
He posted this event on his twitter & facebook & asked everyone to claim to be attending it.
60,000 people confirmed that they were attending. Another 180,000 were on 'awaiting reply'.
Though, once it got really popular Facebook deleted the event it gave people something to talk about.
It gave rise to a zillion hilarious Kate's party pages && groups !
David Throne started selling "I attended Kate's party" t-shirts on his online store!
